Closed for the Winter
Lake Burley Griffin Boat Hire closes on 27th April for the 2010 Winter break. We will, however, be open on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd May and Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May (Mother's Day). We will reopen in Spring on Saturday 28th August operating seven days a week and we hope to see you then.

Monster Carpathon 2010

Monster Carpathon 2009

Monster Carpathon 2008
On Sunday February 17th 2008 a family fishing competition, the first annual Monster Carpathon, was held. With more than 400 entrants (half signing up on the day) the event was a huge success. The largest Carp caught weighed in at 7.14kg. Prize money and goods totalling over $4000 was available for the successful anglers.

Sponsorship was provided by Pratt's Tacklebox, Tackleworld Fyshwick, Rob Paxevanos, Braddon Cellars, Streets Ice Cream and Cadbury Schweppes.   Lake Burley Griffin Boat Hire would like to thank these sponsors for their help and generosity.

Ten percent of the entry fee was donated to Camp Quality a non-profit organisation that brings hope and happiness to the lives of children living with cancer, their families and communities.
